  • Summary: A third Atari port, even better than the last two with a nice save game feature. Very cool flying shooter.
    Hints: Watch for trees that take damage, as when you blow the up finally (they take alot) you get a little tree nymph that gives you full health. The homing missiles are almost a must have for the later levels.

  • This game is one of the better well-done remakes. It just so happens I have an arcade near me where I played the original and then went back and played the web re-make. I would have to say even though I like being able to use a joystick and such Raiden X for the PC is much better. Much more fun because not only do you not have to pay it is also at your keyboard whenever you want to play. My thanks goes out to the creator of this game. Also, just a hint. Use the purple weapon, it is much better then any of the others. Especially when your weaker it is better. You dont have to aim so all you have to worry about is dodging the weapons fired at you. Also, dont quit just because the boss is taking forever. It is well worth fighting the boss.

  • To kill the last boss in 15 SECONDS, use nuke missiles and blue laser. It says so on the author's website. The purple whip and homing missiles take 15 MINUTES.

  • THIS GAMES ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BLUE AND THE M missles are the best for bosses. Purple and homing missles are best for the enemies... red is....ok for both with homing missles (for the enemies) and with the M missles (for the boss). Only 8 Stages to beat..and you can start all over..and oh yeah..you can save. Pretty good game. I recommend this game. 9.67/10.00 . get the P it gives the max power of any weapin and missle. 8,093,040. My top score. This must be a long comment. really long. you should use all your bombs when you are at the last boss. get the blue weapon, and M missles and keep shooting and using the bomb. It'll kill the last boss fast.

  • On the title screen, select "New Game" whenever the background animation is flashing white. If you get the timing right, you'll start with 5 bombs instead of 3! In stage 3, just before you reach the open harbour, you'll see a blue box marked with a "?". Don't shoot at it (if you have homing missiles or a wide-spread gun, let go of the FIRE key). Wait until a nearby tank comes out of its base and runs over the box to break it. Taadaa! Out comes your free 1UP! During the takeoff sequence after stage 5, press CTRL ten times, slowly. A textbox at the bottom-right corner will pop out. Type in "go0gleypower" and after the animation (stage 6), you'll remain invisible for 20-30 seconds. Survival guaranteed! You'll return to normal at around the time you see the ruby (which gives you a 1UP)

  • This game is the bomb. Some tips i would want to share. Make sure that you got the "P" to max your projectiles. Blue laser will destroy the bosses immediately, you don't want them to fire their out of control projectiles, any missile will do. against the minions red and purple will do but make sure you got the "H" missiles it keeps opponents coming from behind at bay. Make sure that you are fully upgraded the moment you go to space coz you need it. Again, "H" missiles will work best in space because of the plethora of enemies going at you. Again, when in space against the minion use red or purple so that you can focus on dodging the projectiles of the minions, just don't forget to grab the blue laser once the background music changes. One last tip, if you explode three consecutive time the "P" icon will appear, but make sure that you grab the other icons on your first and second explosion. Keep on shooting!!!!

  • Good tactic, shoot the enemies. Also dont make the mistake i made by mixing up my backwards with my forwards and ending up smashing into the boss. They picked me out in 78432.234 pieces floating in the amazon river

  • GUYS the blue one at max is the best.... becasue it fires everytime the previous shot disappears... so if you're up close to an enemy it fires FAST AS HELL!!! not to mention that blue is the strongest of all three colors...... Best combo would have to be max Blue (for taking care of bosses) and the homing missle just in case a mob of little guys come and get you!!!!

  • i AM the best. i just made 16217020. i finished it three times and was in my 4th mission and i could have gone on forever, lol. i got bored with it. lets see who beats this score. in this forum "zamilie" has the top score ( i hope hes telling the truth) and then ME (yayyyy!). guess what yeah? i played it for exactly 4 hours. im dead :-(

  • And in addition to that, the blue lazer + the homing missiles are the best all around combination if you want to not worry about switching your guns right before and after bosses. The homing missiles keep the little guys at bay, while the blue lazer keeps everything else at bay. And against the final boss, those two tanks on the sides take a beating from the homing missiles while you can focus the lazer on the crystal.

  • There are 8 stages, and I finished all of them! The last bit takes bloody ages though! The red gems are so hard to destroy! But, this game is awesome. The save option is handy,it will take quite a while to finish.

  • In the Raiden (II) game there is such a great balance in reacting, speed, anticipation and strategy that it is the best game ever for me. Actually I liked it so much I got a cabinet imorted from Spain and put it in the living room!

  • I PLAYED THIS BEFORE AND IT ROCKED! LET ME TELL YOU A SECRET. WELL IF ANYONE KNOWS THIS THEN IT'S NOT A SECRET. DID YOU GET A 1UP AT STAGE 3? SIMPLE. BEFORE YOU REACH THE WATER, THERE IS A CRATE WITH A QUESTION MARK ON IT. DO NOT DESTROY IT YET. WAIT FOR THE TANK TO GO OVER IT THEN THE 1 UP IS YOURS. WHEN I DEFEATED THE LAST BOSS, I USED LASER AND HOMING MISSILE BECAUSE IT'S VERY FAST (LASER AND NUKE MISSILES IF BETTER). IF YOU USE PURPLE, IT MIGHT TAKE SOME TIME. I TRIED IT BEFORE ND TOOK ME 4 MINUTES TO DESTROY THE LAST BOSS. OH AND BY THE WAY, I HOPE THERE WILL BE MORE ACTION ON THIS.   • If you are having trouble beating the game on the HARD difficulty, try this. Go to SETTING, then go to GRAPHIC, then select SMOOTH. Now unless you have a smoking fast computer, you will find that the game has slowed down a bit where it is easier to dodge enemy fire. Try playing the purple fighter at maximum weapon power and the game slows down quite a bit where you almost feel like you're in the Matrix dodging fire with ease.
